One Voice for Volusia advocates for efficient use of resources and data-driven outcomes, and promotes system and community improvements by fostering diverse partnerships in the health and human services field. One Voice for Volusia is a neutral convener, engaging leaders, organizations and individuals to develop and implement strategies to improve the community.
- The One Voice for Volusia Coalition is a vibrant collaborative with over 1000 members representing more than 100 agencies and organizations from all sectors of the community.
- One Voice for Volusia is governed by a dynamic and engaged Board of Directors comprised of key community leaders committed to improving the quality of life in Volusia County.
The coalition convenes monthly at the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County at 1845 Holsonback Drive the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 9:00 to 10:30 am. These meetings are open to all who are interested in learning something new, networking and sharing information that will improve the quality of life in our community with an average attendance of 100 each month. Members and community stakeholders stay connected through subscribing to the Community Connector e-blast system and come together annually with over 500 attendees at the Health and Human Services Summit each fall.
Believing that the successful future of our community is tied to the first five years of life, One Voice for Volusia Staff facilitates the thrive by five Collaborative with participating agencies working together to ensure that each generation gets a healthy start and enters school ready to learn and thrive. The coalition and board also support youth substance abuse prevention efforts through the implementation of multiple strategies that influence over 15,000 youth and families a year in pro-social living and positive choices. Ensuring that all the efforts are based on community need and that outcomes are measurable, One Voice for Volusia conducts needs assessments and produces the Community Agenda Snapshot providing hundreds of data indicators for our community to utilize for policy making, grant writing and program evaluation.
