Project T.A.N.G.O.
(Technical Assistance for Neighborhood
& Grassroots Organizations) is an
innovative community mobilization project initiated in 2003 by One
Voice for Volusia. The goal of the project is to reduce youth
substance abuse through the provision of technical assistance and
support for neighborhood, grassroots and/or faith-based groups and
initiatives. The project consists of several different components:
One-on-One Technical Assistance
provided by a trained One Voice for Volusia member who has
volunteered to be part of the project. Technical Assistance and
mentoring is available to each participant for a minimum of one

T.A.N.G.O. On-Line Library,
a user-friendly guide to the best community and organizational
development-oriented resources available online and on loan from the
One Voice for Volusia Resource Materials Library. This resource is
available to the public and is utilized by the technical assistance
volunteers in their support of grassroots, faith-based and
neighborhood groups.
