Now covering a two-county footprint, Flagler Cares and One Voice for Volusia have merged to expand coordinated services and to bring resources and collaboration in behavioral health, social services, and substance use prevention, all work informed by data and the community members we serve.
For Volusia County, our name, mission, and purpose remain the same, and we are dedicated to substance use prevention work. We are known for our One Voice for Volusia Coalition, a collaborative of health and human services sector representatives and community providers, and we will continue to host monthly Coalition meetings on the second Wednesday of the month at 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted on the Events calendar.
One Voice for Volusia will also continue to offer the Community Connector, an email distribution list. Members can request to send announcements, events, information, and job postings to the distribution list, and anyone can sign up to receive the emails to stay connected to our community. While our role as a neutral community convener is strong, One Voice for Volusia is a substance use prevention organization at our core. We offer youth programs and speakers on prevention topics and resilience, and we educate the community through various campaigns, information, and marketing efforts, including a Prevention Resource site.
