One Voice for Volusia Coalition Meeting

Join us on Wednesday, October 11 for our monthly coalition meeting. We will meet at the Piggotte Community Center (504 Big Tree Rd, Daytona Beach, FL 32119).

Meeting Topic:
“Supporting Children and Adolescents with Autism Spectrum and Mental Health Disorder: Insight for Parents of Neurodivergent Youth”

Speakers include:

• Christian Edward-Salinas, LCSW – External Affairs Clinical Liaison, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health
• Rene Leon, M.Ed., BCBA – Director of Behavioral Services, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health

This presentation offers exploration into Autism Spectrum disorder symptoms, the complexities of dual diagnosis (co-occurring disorders), the interplay between anxiety and autism, as well as vital strategies and insights from both Licensed Mental Health Clinician and Board Certified Behavior Analyst perspectives. It is tailored to equip professionals, parents and caregivers with a deeper understanding and practical tools to better support their neurodivergent youth.

Also, we are asking for candy donations for the Volusia Detention Center to celebrate Halloween and Red Ribbon Week. if you would like to donate candy, please bring your donation to the coalition meeting
